Use
4 (four) strings of lights to wire the wreathe. Each string may be up to
200 lights, e.g., 35, 50, 100, 135 (100+35), 150 (100+50), or 200 (100+100).
Make sure you coil the extra wire between two connected strings so that
the last bulb of the first string and the first bulb of the second string
have the same spacing as the rest of the bulbs. This will eliminate gaps
in the lighting.
The
wiring diagram in Figure 1 should be used when a color change
effect is desired. The tree size will determine how many lights per string
are needed, and how many spiral loops around the tree are needed. A good
rule of them would be one spiral loop per ring of branches. Use a
different color for each string of lights, e.g., red, green, yellow, blue.
Start at the tree trunk and go outward to position 1.
Proceed around the tree and advance upward one branch set per revolution
until you reach the top of the tree. Start at the tree trunk with the
second string of lights and go outward to position 2. Proceed
around the tree as before to the tree top. Start at the tree trunk with
the third string of lights and go outward to position 3. Proceed
around the tree as before to the tree top. Start at the tree trunk with
the fourth string of lights and go outward to position 4. Proceed
around the tree as before to the tree top. Plug the top tree star and the DIGITAL
LIGHT & SIGN CONTROLLER into an extension cord. Label the plugs
with a number designation 1, 2, 3, 4 and plug them into the controller.
Select RAMP 17 (for dual fade in fade out color change) and set
brightness to maximum. Set the rate you wish for the color change. Try LIM
1 & 2 (for snap dual color change) and ANIM 6 (for single
snap color change). RAMP 16 will change color by ramping a given
color to full brightness, then ramping down to zero, shifting to the next
color and ramping up again.
Remember,
this is for fun!!! You can't
hurt anything by playing around with different settings and combinations.
Set the MODE, SPEED, and BRIGHTNESS, the way you like
it. After running for one minute, it will permanently store the settings
you chose and will operate that way every time you turn it on. You can
change the settings anytime you like and it will remember the new
